Aideen – Wrong Job - PCM
Aideen had been working as a Legal Secretary for a large Practice for almost 10 years – her first job – which she went straight into after completing a secretarial course. Aideens’ family and friends always comment on how lucky she is to have such a good and steady job – for this she was grateful, she really liked the people she worked with – but she had become de-motivated in recent times.
Darragh – Poor C.V. & Interview Skills
Darragh had made a very important decision - he was going to get a new job – he was very excited about the prospect of a move and quickly got his c.v. out to a number of Recruitment Agencies. He also applied directly for jobs advertised both on-line and newspapers. The first week passed without him hearing from either Employers or Recruitment Agencies, he didn’t think too much about it but when the second and eventually the third passed he started to worry – he rang the Recruitment Agencies and made appointments to meet quite a few of them. After that, he did start getting interviews but he then became disillusioned once again when he wasn’t winning any of the roles he interviewed for.
Caroline – Senior Level
After working for many years as a Project Manager, Caroline has progressed her career to a middle management position. She was very happy in her current company except for one thing, more like one person – her Boss!
She felt undermined by the way he treated her, she believed he was putting her down in front of her colleagues and behind her back. He never seemed to agree with her ideas and made her second guess her decisions constantly. Exasperated and tired of continous confrontations - she felt he was leaving her with no other option than to move on from the company.
